Over our many years providing post-rehab movement care, we’ve seen the gap between the overrun medical system and the care that’s available to people once they discharge. With compassionate, intelligent rehabilitative movement care, at The Movement Care Collective we are aiming to be the bridge. We also firmly believe in the circle of care — we sprinkle around extra movement support for practitioners in the medical system so they can fill their cups. When providers are supported and patients have access to high quality, continuous care, everyone wins.

We at ZSFG Rehabilitation Services would like to extend our sincere thanks for the care that you have been providing to our patients and to us therapists. Here at ZSFG, we provide physical, occupational, and speech therapy to San Francisco’s most vulnerable populations. Our patients have the most challenging social circumstances in the city and we take great pride in caring for them. However, we are limited by the constraints of the medical system, which is why we are so grateful to be able to partner with your team to extend care beyond our scope and help patients maintain the benefits of their therapy long after discharge. The individualized services and quality of support that your team is able to provide is something that our patients could only dream of previously. We have received such great feedback about how impactful your movement care has been on their mental and physical well- being.
In addition, we are so grateful to Caitlin Kolb for generously donating her time to visit us in person and provide valuable education in Pilates principles and self-care sessions for us therapists. As caregivers, it is easy to forget to give ourselves the same attention and opportunities for rest that we encourage in our patients. The Movement Care Collective is pleased to partner with Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. With their participation, we have created a supportive program to “help the healers” with restorative sessions for recovering patients and their caregivers.
MCC partners with medical facilities to offer Pilates and alignment-based movement classes that promote healing and wellbeing.
